With a passion for advancing the field of urology, Dr. Aditya embarked on his professional journey in 2014, commencing his Master of Surgery after successfully completing the final MBBS examination and a mandatory rotating internship. His postgraduate training began at the prestigious Government Medical College, Surat—a 1300-bedded government hospital affiliated with Veer Narmad South Gujarat University. This institute serves as an apex referral center, attending to approximately 15,000 to 20,000 inpatients and 100,000 to 150,000 outpatients annually.
During his tenure, he gained comprehensive exposure to all facets of general surgery, actively engaging in teaching, participating in seminars, journal clubs, and organizing Continuing Medical Education (CME) events. Beyond his clinical responsibilities, he had the privilege of contributing to the college football team.
In 2018, Dr Aditya joined DrNB Urology at Yashoda Hospital, Hyderabad, a 600-bedded superspeciality hospital in Hyderabad, India, recognized by the Indian Medical Council. The urology department, equipped with a Da Vinci robot and a renal transplant unit, provided an ideal environment for his specialization. He immersed himself in urological procedures, participated in national conferences, urology competitions, and case presentations, earning accolades for his contributions. During this period, he also obtained his FMAS (Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery) degree, showcasing his commitment to advancing minimally invasive techniques. Actively involved in teaching and assisting senior colleagues in theatres, he garnered experience in endourology, minimal invasive procedures, robotics, reconstructive urology, uro-oncology, and renal transplants.
In 2020, he was awarded the Gold medal in the prestigious Urology Society Travelling Fellowship exam which is given by urology residents all over India. He was selected to represent India at the American Urology Congress in Washington.
After completing his studies, in order to give his service to the socio-economic underprivileged population, he joined as a Junior Consultant at Bt Savani Kidney Hospital in Rajkot, Gujarat. This trust-based hospital, the sole tertiary care center for kidney ailments in Saurashtra, covers a vast region, serving a population of approximately 15 lakhs. With state-of-the-art facilities spanning the entire urology spectrum, their daily OPD sees around 200 patients, with an operating theatre list of approximately 20-30 patients everyday.
Here, he honed his surgical and patient consulting skills, gaining extensive exposure to various urological conditions. Actively participating in academic sessions, teaching residents, and collaborating with senior consultants, he continually expanded his knowledge base.
After serving there, he was then called at Oswal Aayush hospital in Jamnagar, Gujarat to head and develop their Urology department. It is a 200 bedded multipeciality trust hospital which actively works for the people of lower socio-economic strata providing them with at par facilities at a very nominal rate. There he was successful in developing urology department which now caters to almost 50-60 patients daily and an operative list of almost 10 per day. He held multipe camps and social awareness campaigns in the field of urology.
There he started and directed monthly Endo-urology Training Programme where number of urologists got trained under him.
Serving Saurashtra for almost 2 and a half years, he finally has returned to his home – Ahmedabad and as a dedicated urologist is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centric care and staying at the forefront of advancements in urological science.
